Troubleshooting Hands-Free Operation
The NAVIGON 5100 max must be connected to a mobile phone in order for you to use
the telephone functions. After the first connection, your
NAVIGON 5100 max will auto-
matically reconnect with your phone each time it comes into range.
Problems occurring when trying to establish a Bluetooth connection can have various
causes:
Bluetooth is deactivated in the hands-free of the
NAVIGON 5100 max.
=> Activate Bluetooth. Make sure that the
NAVIGON 5100 max can be detected
by other Bluetooth devices. (See “Setting Bluetooth Options” on page 133 for
more information.)
Bluetooth is deactivated on the mobile phone or it is set to "Hidden".
=> Activate Bluetooth on your mobile phone. Make sure that your mobile phone
can be detected by other Bluetooth devices.
For more details refer to your mobile phone manual.
•The
NAVIGON 5100 max may not have successfully connected to your mobile
phone before.
=> Initiate the connection manually. (See “Connecting (Pairing) with a Mobile
Phone” on page 119 for more information.)
If none of the above actions resolve the problem, reset the device.
=> With the
NAVIGON 5100 max powered on, use a stylus or paper clip to press
the reset button located on the bottom of the case.
Note: If the
NAVIGON 5100 max is still unable to establish a Bluetooth connection
to your mobile phone, contact your mobile phone manufacturer's customer support.
