Mounting the Unit: Bracket or In-Dash
You can install the unit on the top of a dash with the supplied gimbal
bracket. It can also be installed in the dash. For an in-dash mount, con-
sult the factory customer service department. Service contact informa-
tion is inside the back cover of this manual.
Bracket Installation
Mount the unit in any convenient location, provided there is clearance
behind the unit when it's tilted for the best viewing angle. You should
also make sure there is enough room behind the unit to attach the
power, transducer and GPS antenna/receiver module cables. (A draw-
ing on the next page shows the dimensions of a gimbal-mounted unit.)
Holes in the bracket's base allow wood screw or through-bolt mounting.
You may need to place a piece of plywood on the back side of thin fiber-
glass panels to reinforce the panel and secure the mounting hardware.
