The sound produced through the seat-mounted speakers in vehicles equipped
with the BOSE
®
Studio Surround™ system will vary according to which audio
source is selected. Likewise, the changes to the sound field produced by the
Centerpoint
®
feature will vary according to which audio source is selected.
Note: While listening to the AM or FM radio band, Centerpoint
®
is inactive and seat speaker sound is minimal.
Music Box
(For vehicles with the INFINITI Navigation system)
Refer to Audio System, and Steering Wheel Controls to view audio system functions applicable to
Music Box operation.
The Music Box hard-disk drive audio system can record and store songs from a
CD being played in the in-dash CD player.
Note: Music cannot be recorded to the hard-disk drive from the CompactFlash
®
player.
To Record a CD to the Hard-Disk Drive:
1 Insert a CD into the slot.
2 Highlight REC on the Control Panel Display screen, then press ENTER.
To Automatically Record Songs to the Hard-Disk Drive:
If the “Automatic Recording” function is ON, recording to Music Box will start
when a CD begins to play in the in-dash CD player.
1 Press the %*4$r"69 button until the Music Box mode displays on the
Information Display screen.
2 Highlight Menu, then press ENTER.
3 Highlight Music Box System Info., then press ENTER.
4 Highlight Music Box Settings, then press ENTER.
5 Highlight Automatic Recording, then press ENTER to turn the feature ON/OFF.
To Search for Missing Titles:
If titles of CDs and/or songs recorded to Music Box are not displayed, they can
be acquired using one of the following methods:
N Retrieve from HDD. Search for the title using the Gracenote
®
database in
the hard-disk drive.
N Transfer Missing Titles to CompactFlash
®
