6. Remove the lug nuts with the
lug wrench.
7. Replace the flat tire with the
spare tire, making sure the valve
stem is facing outward. Reinstall
lug nuts until the wheel is snug
against the hub. Do not fully
tighten the lug nuts until the wheel
has been lowered.
When using a temporary tire, the
lug nut washers will not appear to
be flush with the rim. This is
normal when using the temporary
spare tire only.
8. Lower the wheel by turning the
jack handle counterclockwise.
9. Remove the jack and fully
tighten the lug nuts.
10. Put flat tire, jack and lug wrench
away. Make sure jack and flat tire
are fastened so they do not rattle
when you drive.
To restow the jack, adjust the jack
to the half raised position. The jack
has been correctly adjusted for
restowage when the tip of the jack
screw extends 1 inch beyond the
edge on the jack channel as shown.
Reposition the jack under the spare
and fasten with the hold down
screw. Reinstall the spare tire and
lug wrench and fasten into position.
11. On Coupe models, reinstall
lower rocker moulding access door
(if equipped).
12. Unblock the wheels.
