Tires
Wheel Removal
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Place the transmission in gear.
3. Stop the engine. Lock the parking brake.
4. Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.
WARNING! Do not service axle nuts that have a cotter pin installed. See your
Polaris dealer.
5. Place a suitable stand under the footrest frame to raise the wheel
slightly off the ground.
6. Remove the wheel nuts. Remove the wheel.
Wheel Installation
1. Place the wheel on the wheel hub with the valve stem toward the
outside and the rotation arrows on the tire pointing toward forward
rotation.
2. Install the wheel nuts finger tight.
3. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
4. Torque the wheel nuts to specification.
WARNING! Loose nuts could cause a tire to come off during operation, which
could result in an accident or overturn. Always ensure that all nuts are torqued to
specification.
Wheel Nut Torque Specifications
Check the wheel nut torques occasionally and when they've been loos-
ened for service.
Location Nut Torque
Front Wheel 27 ft. lbs. (37 Nm)
Rear Wheel 27 ft. lbs. (37 Nm)
