Transmission Oil
Always check and change the transmission oil at the intervals outlined
in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 52. Maintain the
oil level between 1/4 and 3/4 on the sight glass. See page 96 for the part
numbers of Polaris products.
Transmission Oil Recommendations
Oil Check
1. Position the vehicle on a
level surface.
2. View the oil level
through the sight glass.
3. Remove the fill plug and
add the recommended
oil as needed.
4. Reinstall the fill plug.
Oil Change
The transmission drain plug
is located on the bottom of the vehicle near the center.
1. Remove the fill plug.
2. Remove the transmission drain plug. Drain the oil into an appropri-
ate container. Discard used oil properly.
3. Clean and reinstall the drain plug. Torque to specification.
4. Add the recommended fluid.
5. Reinstall the fill plug.
6. Check for leaks.
