Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Recommendations
Refer to the specifications section beginning on page 112 for the recom-
mended spark plug type and gap for your vehicle. Torque spark plugs to
specification.
1. Remove the left side panel.
See page 75.
2. Remove the spark plug cap.
3. Use the spark plug wrench
to remove the spark plug.
Turn the plug
counterclockwise to
remove it.
4. Inspect the electrodes for
wear and carbon buildup.
Replace worn or fouled
plugs. Verify that the gap is
at specification before
installation.
5. Reinstall the spark plug.
Torque to specification.
6. Reinstall the spark plug cap.
Plug Condition Torque Specification
New Spark Plug 12-15 N-m
Previously Installed Spark Plug 23-27 N-m
