CONTROLS
Throttle Lever
Engine speed and vehicle
movement are controlled by
pressing the throttle lever (1).
The throttle lever is spring
loaded. Engine speed return s
to idle when the lever is
released .
This ATV is equipped with Polaris Electronic Throttle Control (ETC),
which is designed to reduce the risk of a frozen or stuck throttle. If the
throttle cable should stick in an open position when the operator
releases the throttle lever, the engine will stop, and power to the rear
wheels w ill cease.
Operating a n ATV with sticking or impr operly operating throttle
controls could cause an accident and lead to severe injury or
death.
Never sta rt or operate a n ATV with a sticking or impr operly
operating throttle. A lways contact your dealer for ser vice if throttl e
problems arise.
Failure to check or maintain proper operation of the th rottle
system can result in an a ccident if the throttle l ever sticks during
operation. Always check the lever for fr ee movement and return
before starting the engine. Also check occasionally dur ing
operation.

The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) stops th e engine in the
event of a throttle system malfunction and is provided for your
safety. Do not attempt to modify the ETC system or replace it
with any after market throttle mechanisms .
