Turning off the NAVIGON 8100T
1. Press and hold the (On/Standby/Off) button on the top of the device.
2. Use a stylus or paper clip to press the reset button located on the bottom of the
device case behind the LED.
First Time Startup
When you first start your device, the LANGUAGE SELECTION WINDOW displays.
1. Select the appropriate language and tap OK.
The D
ISTANCE UNIT SELECTION WINDOW displays.
2. Select either Kilometers or Miles and tap OK.
Note: When your device is not in use for an extended period of time, use this proce-
dure to turn off your device and conserve battery power.
Caution! Selecting the (Cancel) button during these steps will cause the
NAVIGON device to cease operation and will require the user to reset the device.
