Unlocking/locking in an emergency
Fuel filler flap emergency release
In case the central locking system does
not release the fuel filler flap, you can open
it manually.
1 Release knob
̈ Open trunk.
̈ Remove right-side tail trim.
̈ Pull release knob 1 in direction of ar-
row.
The fuel filler flap can know be opened.
Manually unlocking the gear selector
lever
In case of power failure, the gear selector
lever can be manually unlocked, e.g. to tow
the vehicle.
1 Selector lever cover
2 Release
̈ Insert flat, blunt object (e.g. screwdriv-
er) into the left edge of cover 1 at the
position indicated by the arrows.
̈ Loosen cover 1 using this object.
̈ Using your hands, pull cover 1 out
and remove.
̈ Push down and hold release 2 in
direction of arrow.
̈ Simultaneously move gear selector
lever out of position P.
The gear selector lever is now un-
locked.

The gear selector lever is locked again as
soon as you place it in position P again.
