Setting the Clock
Under normal usage, you should never need to change the clock setting unless you cross over
into a new time zone. The eXplorist receives its clock information from the atomic clock
located in the GPS satellite and is extremely accurate.
Other then changing the time for when you cross time zones, you can also set the format that
the time is displayed as well as select the daylight savings time settings.
Setting the Time & Format
To adjust the time you must first select a format that the time will be displayed in. If the
format you are presently using is the format you want to keep, you still need to verify the
format before you can set the clock.
1. Press
MENU.
2. Use the
Arrow joystick to highlight Preferences.
3. Press
ENTER.
4. Use the
Arrow joystick to highlight Clock.
5. Press
ENTER.
6. Use the
Arrow joystick to highlight the Format field.
7. Press ENTER.
8. Select
Local 24 Hrs, Local AM/PM, or UTC.
9. Press
ENTER.
10. With the clock field highlighted, press ENTER.
11. Use the
Arrow joystick to set the time.
(Up/down changes the value at the cursor location; left/right
moves the cursor.)
12. When the time is set properly, press ENTER.
13. With the
Done button highlighted, press ENTER.
