2.2 Replacing the Fuse
The fuse (5 A) in the power cable protects the equipment against reverse polarity of ship’s
mains, overcurrent, and equipment fault. If the fuse blows, find the cause before replacing it.
Use the proper fuse.
Use of a wrong fuse may cause
serious damage to the equipment
and void the warranty.

2.3 Troubleshooting
The table below provides simple troubleshooting procedures which the user can follow to
restore normal operation. If you cannot restore normal operation contact your dealer for advice.
Troubleshooting
If… But… Then…
nothing appears on the
display or display contrast
is poor
try adjusting LCD contrast.
battery may have discharged.
check if fuse has blown.
you pressed the
[POWER/BRILL] key to turn on
the radar
the control panel does not
light
adjust PANEL DIMMER on the
User menu.
the message NO
HEADING PULSE” or “NO
BEARING PULSE
appears
check that the antenna cable is
firmly connected.
the radar has warmed up and
you pressed the [MODE] key to
transmit
neither noise or targets
appear (characters and
markers do)
try adjusting gain, A/C SEA and
A/C RAIN.
check signal cable for damage.
a key is pressed nothing happens key may be faulty. Contact your
dealer.
the display freezes Press the [MENU/ESC] key about
five seconds to turn off the power
and then turn it on again.
