There are 12 different zoom levels, ranging from 125 feet to
100 miles in the English system measurements or 50 meters
to 200 kilometers in the metric system.
The zoom icon shows the map scale and the current
zoom level. The map scale unit is approximately ⅜ inch
or 1 centimeter.
Tap the zoom icon to bring up the zoom bar.
Tap the + or – icons to change the zoom level one step
at a time.
Tap anywhere on the bar to skip directly to that zoom
level.
