This alarmcan be programmedto drive anelectronic siren, orpulse the vehicle'shorn.
Inthesirenmode,theaudibleoutputwilldeliveraswitched+1 2VDCoutputwhenthesystemistriggered.Thisallowsfordirectconnection
toan optionalelectronicsiren.
Inthehornmode,theaudibleoutput(WHITEw/BLACKtracerwire)willdeliverapulsed+12voltoutputwhenthesystemistriggered.
This allows forconnection to the vehicle’s horn, using an external relay, which will beep thehorn when the alarm istriggered.
The system is shipped from the factory in the siren mode, and to select the horn mode, move dip switch#3tothe"ON"position.
INSTANT OR DELAYED DOOR TRIGGER SELECTION : DIP SWITCH # 4
Thisalarm canbeprogrammedforeither instanttriggeronthe doorzone, orforan entrydelayonthe doorzone.Theprimaryuse ofthe
entrydelaywouldbewhenthe APS-30is installedas astand alonepassive alarmsystem, and isnot beingused withan existingRemote
Keyless Entry system.
In theinstant mode, opening anydoor willtrigger thealarm immediately.
Intheentry delaymode,openinganydoor willprovidea15seconddelay beforethealarmistriggered.This providesampletimetoput
the key into the ignition, and switch it to the " ON " position, which will disarm the system when wired as a stand alone alarm.
IMPORTANT:Intheentrydelaymode, whenthe alarmis armedactively, thedoorswill triggerthe alarminstantly. Theentry
delay will only take place when the alarm is allowed to arm passively!
IMPORTANT : THE ENTRY DELAYWILL NOT OPERATE WHEN THE VOLTAGESENSING CIRCUIT IS ACTIVE
(DIP SWITCH # 6 ON).
POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE ARM INPUT SELECTION : DIP SWITCH # 5
Thisalarm canbeprogrammed toaccepteithera positiveornegativearm inputsignal. This allowsforproperinstallation intovehicles
using 3 wire ground, 3 wire + 12 volt, and 5 wire alternating door locking systems.
In the negative mode, the system will operate withkeyless entry systems providing aground output to the power doorlock circuit.
Inthepositivemode,thesystemwilloperatewith keylessentrysystems providinga+12voltoutputtothepowerdoorlockcircuit.The
positive modeshould alsobe usedin vehicleswhose Keyless Entrysystem useson -board relaysthat switcha highcurrent + 12 volts
directly tothe door lockmotor legs.
The system is shippedfrom the factory in the+ 12 volt inputmode, and to select theground input mode, move dipswitch#5tothe"
ON " position.
VOLTAGE SENSE OR HARDWIRE SELECTION : DIP SWITCH # 6
This alarm canbe programmed tooperate as either avoltage sensing orhardwire system.
In the voltagesensing mode, any entrypoint that turns alight on will trigger thealarm.
In the hardwiremode, any entry point thatis wired to thesystem will trigger thealarm.
The system is shipped from thefactory in the hardwire mode, and to select thevoltage sensing mode, move dip switch#6tothe
" ON " position.
TRUNK TRIGGER BY - PASS INPUT
This systemprovides apositive trunkreleaseinput, whichallows theactivation ofthe remotetrunk releasefrom theOEM transmitter
without triggeringthe alarm, evenwhen itis armed.
