Spark Arrestor Clean-Out
Set Screw-Type Arrestor
1. Remove the bolt (1) and remove the arrestor (2) from
the end of the muffler.
2. Use a non-synthetic brush to clean the arrestor
screen (3). A synthetic brush may melt if components
are warm. If necessary, blow debris from the screen
with compressed air.
3. Inspect the screen. Replace the arrestor if the screen is
worn or damaged.
4. Reinstall the arrestor. Torque the bolt to 7 ft. lbs.
(9.5 Nm).
