Hood and Side Panels
The hood and side panels
protect the operator from
moving parts. Never operate a
snowmobile with the side
panels open or removed.
Always ensure that the hood
and side panels are installed and
securely latched before starting
the engine.
To open a side panel, rotate the
two 1/4-turn fasteners at the
upper edges of the side panel.
Release the strap at the lower
edge of the side panel.
To remove a side panel, open
the side panel, then pull the
panel outward to release the
tabs at the lower edge of the
panel. Lift the side panel away
from the snowmobile.
Removing the hood is not
recommended. Any service
requiring the removal of the
hood should be performed by an
authorized POLARIS dealer.
