Locking and unlocking
Loss of SmartKey or mechanical key
If you lose a SmartKey or mechanical key,
you should do the following:
̈ Have the SmartKey deactivated by an
authorized Mercedes-Benz Center.
̈ Report the loss of the SmartKey or the
mechanical key immediately to your
car insurance company.
̈ If necessary, have the trunk lock
replaced.
Any authorized Mercedes-Benz Center will
be glad to supply you with a replacement.
Opening the doors
Opening from the outside
For information on opening the doors from
the outside, see “Getting started”
(
page 39).
Opening from the inside
You can open a locked door from the in-
side. Open the door only if the vehicle is
stationary and when conditions are safe to
do so.
1 Inside door handle
̈ Pull on door handle 1.
The door swings outwards and up-
wards automatically.
Opening a door causes the door win-
dows on that side of the vehicle to
open slightly. They will return to the up
position when the door is closed.
