Draining the carburetor float chamber *
Following every wet-cleaning procedure, the float chamber of the
carburetor should be drained in order to remove any water that may have
penetrated into it. Water in the float chamber causes engine malfunction.
Carry out this job with the engine being cold.
Close the fuel tap.
Put one end of the hose
4 that leads downward behind the engine into a
collecting vessel.
Open the drain plug
5 (turning it counterclockwise) by several turns, and
drain the fuel from the float chamber.
Then, retighten the drain plug and open the fuel tap.
