Troubleshooting/error messages
Symptoms Remedies/Causes
iPod/iPhone
Sound is not played back when iPod/iPhone is
selected as the source.
iPod is connected as a Bluetooth audio player. Set <BT
Audio> to <Off>. (☞ page 107)
Sound is distorted. Deactivate the equalizer either on this unit or the
iPod/iPhone.
Video is not played back. Check the connection of USB Audio and Video cable (KS-
U49, not supplied).
iPod/iPhone cannot be charged. Connect iPod/iPhone directly to the unit without using a
USB hub.
SiriusXM Radio
“No Signal” Make sure the Satellite radio antenna is mounted outside
the vehicle. Move vehicle to an area with a clear view of
the sky.
“Check Antenna” • Check the Satellite radio antenna connection and make
sure it is firmly attached to the tuner.
• Check the Satellite radio antenna cable to see whether
it is bent or broken. If the antenna cable is damaged,
replace it.
“Check Tuner” The communication is disconnected or an error occurs.
Wait for a while.
“Channel Not Available” Selected channel is no longer available or is unauthorized.
Select another channel or continue listening to the
previous channel.
“Ch Unsubscribed” Selected channel is not part of your current subscription
plan. Call 1-866-635-2349 to subscribe.
“Subscription updated. Press [OK] to continue.” Your subscription is updated. Press [OK] button to
continue.
“Subscription updated. Switch to the AV screen
to continue.”
Your subscription is updated. To continue, switch to the
AV screen and then press [OK] button.
AV-IN
No sound and video can be played back. • Turn on the external component if it is not on.
• Connect the external component correctly.
• Check whether <AV Input> setting is correct for <AV-
IN>. (☞ page 84)
Front AUX
No sound can be heard. • Turn on the external component if it is not on.
• Connect the external component correctly.
• Check whether <Front AUX> setting is set to <ON>.
