IMPORTANT! Use only a Power Wheels
®
6 volt battery with A-style
connector and built-in thermal fuse. Use of any other battery will
damage your vehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for
at least 18 hours using the enclosed Power Wheels
®
Super
6 volt
charger before operating your vehicle for the first time. Charge the
battery for at least 14 hours after each use of the vehicle. Never
charge the battery longer than 30 hours. Failure to follow these
instructions may damage your battery and will void your warranty.
Hint:
It is easier to install the battery before assembling the hood to
your vehicle. If you have already assembled the hood to your vehicle,
you may want to remove it to install the battery.
• Push and hold the battery retainer in.
• Fit the battery upright in the battery compartment. Make sure
the bottom of the battery is flat on the bottom of the battery
compartment and that the battery connector extends toward the
rear of the vehicle.
• Release the battery retainer to secure the battery.
Motor Harness
Connector
• Plug the motor harness and battery connectors together. Push firmly
to make sure both connectors are completely joined.

Hood
• Re-assemble the hood to the vehicle if you have removed it to
install your battery. See Assembly step 13 on page 12.
• Lower the hood.
• Using a slotted screwdriver, turn the lock fasteners to the
unlocked position .
• Press down on the hood so that the lock fastener tabs on the
underside of the hood fit into the lock fastener slots under the
hood in the battery compartment.
• Using a slotted screwdriver, turn the lock fasteners to the locked
position .
• Pull up on the hood to be sure it is securely fastened.
