QUICK GUIDE TO XEBRA DRIVING
The Xebra is technically a motorcycle and should be driven in a similar manner to a motorcycle. This means gradual turns and no
sudden, sharp turns.Check with your local DMVlaws to ensure compliancewith license requirements.
1. Make surethe batteries have sufficient charge.Avoltage readingof 79 or higher isfully charged.
Refer to BatteryMaintenance section for charging instructions.
2. Fasten seatbelt(s) and adjust mirrors. SeeMirror section for properprocedure.
3. Place directionknob to N for neutral.
4. Check thatthe Master off button under the driver's seat is pulledout.
5. DEPRESSTHE BRAKE PEDAL.This is important if youare on a slope.
As the carhas no engine or gears,it will roll easilyin the direction of theslope when the motoris not turning.
6. Place keyin ignition and turn clockwiseone (72V ignition) or twoclicks (12V ignition).
You will most likely hearnothing! It's electric sothere's no idling (you mayhear the cooling fan).The voltage gaugewill go up.
7. Release parkingbrake located on the lowerleft side of thedriver's seat (sedan)or to the rightof driver's seat (truck).
8. Turn directionknob to F forforward, or to R forreverse and press redreverse button.
If going inreverse, you will hear thereverse beeper.
9. Remove footfrom brake and place footon accelerator SLOWLY.
10. Drive carefullywith gentle turns of thesteering wheel.
11.Anticipatestops, your Xebra does Nothave power brakes.
12. Themost common reason the Xebrawon't drive is theMASTER OFF BUTTON is pushed in.
The second reasonis the parking brake isengaged.
13. Finally, do not forget todisconnect the charging cord.
