Driver Warnings
Always check the terrain carefully before you start down any hill. Shift your weight
backward. Never go down a h ill at high speed.
Avoid going down a hill at an angle, which would cause the v ehicle to lean s harply to
one side. Go straight down the hill when possible.

POTENTIAL HAZARD: Going down a hill improperly.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Driving downhill improperly could c ause loss of control or
ATV overturn.
HOW TO AVOID THE
HAZARD
Always follow proper procedures for going down hills as
described in the Owner’s Manual. See page 110.
NOTE: A special technique is required when braking as
you go downhill.
