TROUBLESHOOTING
IQ Suspension Troubleshooting
Problem Solution (perform only one change at a time)
Rear suspension
bottoms too easily
S Adjust torsion s pring preload to achieve proper static sag
(see page 44).
S Change torsion spring to stiffer optional spring (see your
dealer).
S Revalve rear track shock (see your dealer).
Rides too stiff in
rear
S Check for binding suspension shafts and grease all pivot
points.
S Adjust torsion s pring preload to achieve proper static sag
(see page 44).
S Change torsion spring to softer optional spring (see your
dealer).
S Check for proper track tension (see page 107).
Machine darts from
side to side
S Check ski alignment (see page 110).
S Make sure spindles and all steering components turn freely.
S Ensure skags are straight on skis.
S Check rail slide/replace if worn (see page 112).
S Install dual skags.
S Set static sag (see page 44).
Front end pushes S Check for worn skags.
S Set static sag (see page 44).
S Install single skag (see your dealer).
S Rotate RRSS to high position ( see page 48).
Steering is heavy S Make sure spindles and all steering components turn freely.
S Check ski alignment (see page 110).
S Check skags and skis for damage.
S Set static sag (see page 44).
