Attaching the Power Cable
Your vehicle adapter is a 12 volt adapter with a built-in speaker
system. Use the AC adapter when using the StreetPilot indoors.
1. Align the power plug on the vehicle adapter to the connector
and slide the plug into the connector until fully seated, as
shown below.
2. Plug the power adapter into an available cigarette lighter
receptacle in your vehicle. Route the cable so it does not
interfere with vehicle operation.
Changing the Fuse
A 3AG 1 Amp, high-breaking capacity, 1500 A
interrupt rated fuse is located at the tip of the vehicle
adapter. Periodically, you may need to change the
fuse. Simply unscrew the black, round end piece
and replace the fuse.
Using a Remote Antenna
Use an optional external remote antenna (Garmin GA 27C)
when using the unit in a vehicle with a coated windshield or an
in-screen heating system, which can block GPS signals. Connect
the antenna to the connector located on the back of the unit.
