Customizing the Oregon
compass:
—sets
the Compass page reading to
directional letters (N, S, E, W).
—sets the
Compass page reading to degrees
(0°–359°).
—sets the Compass page
reading to mils (0 mils–1000
mils).
—select the north
reference of the compass:
—sets true north as the
heading reference.
—automatically sets
the magnetic declination for your
location.
—sets grid north as the
heading reference (0°).
—allows you to set the
magnetic variation value.
(depending on
your unit)—select  to show
the Bearing Pointer, which indicates
the direction to your destination.
Touch  to select the Course
Pointer, which indicates your
relationship to a course line leading
to the destination (page 11).
—select  toswitch
from an electronic compass to a GPS
compass when you are traveling
at a higher rate of speed for a set
period of time. Select  to turn the
electronic compass off and use the
GPS compass.
—calibrate the compass
(page 10).
Altimeter Setup

—allow the
altimeter to self-calibrate each time
