TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible Cause Possible Solution
Engine will not start. 1. Low on fuel or oil.
2. Ignition switch is in “OFF” position.
3. Faulty spark plug.
4. Choke in wrong position.
5. Fuel lever in “CLOSED” position.
6. Engine under load during start-up.
7. Spark plug wire loose.
8. Fuel line clogged.
9. Air lter clogged.
10. Fuel contaminated.
11. Faulty ignition system.
1. Add fuel or oil.
2. Turn ignition switch to “ON” position.
3. Clean or replace spark plug.
4. Properly adjust choke.
5. Turn fuel lever to “OPEN” position.
6. Remove load from Engine.
7. Attach wire to spark plug.
8. Clean fuel line and lter.
9. Clean air lter.
10. Drain fuel tank and carburetor
bowl. Rell with fresh fuel.
11. Have a qualied service technician
examine ignition system.
Please note: In an emergency, the engine can be turned off by:
A. Turning the ignition switch to its “OFF” position.
B. Turning the fuel lever to the closed position.

C. Removing the spark plug wire.
