Softkey again restores the previous identiﬁcation code.

Garmin-authorizedservicecenterforconguration.

IDENT FUNCTION

NOTE: In Standby Mode, the IDENT Softkey is inoperative.

Pressing the

IDENT

Softkey sends a distinct identity indication to Air Trafﬁc Control (ATC). The indication

distinguishes the identing transponder from all the others on the air trafﬁc controller’s screen. The

IDENT

Softkey appearson all levelsof transpondersoftkeys.  Whenthe

IDENT

Softkey is pressed, a green

IDNT

indicationisdisplayedinthemodeeldoftheTransponderDataBoxforadurationof18seconds.

After the

IDENT

Softkey is pressed while in Mode or Code Selection, the system reverts to the top-level

softkeys.
