Carburetor adjustment
CAUTION
:

Be sure to have a Yamaha dealer make this
adjustment.
Make sure that the carburetor silencer is installed
during running to prevent engine damage.

Under some operating conditions the carburetor setting
may have to be changed due to air temperature changes,
elevation changes, use of alcohol oxygenated fuels, etc.,
and should be set by a Yamaha dealer.
CAUTION
:

The drive chain gears and V-belt clutch should be
adjusted when operating over a high altitude of
900 m (3,000 ft). Consult a Yamaha dealer.

Pilot screw adjustment
Turn the pilot screw in or out to adjust low speed tuning.

Standard pilot screw position:
2.0 turns out from the seated position.
