Engine detail
Five-cylinder, 2.5-litre, turbocharged engine with Continuously Variable intake
and exhaust Valve Timing (dual CVVT). Double overhead camshafts, 20 valves.
Dual-charge air coolers (Intercoolers). Three-way catalytic converter with a heated
oxygen sensor. Dual fuel pumps, a two-section fuel tank and a racing type oil pan.
Furthermore, the engine is designed to handle the G-forces that build up with
extreme acceleration.
DRIVELINE
Pre-charged electronically controlled, All-Wheel Drive system (AWD) with Instant
Traction
TM
. This technology employs constant hydraulic pressure to channel power
to the wheels with the best road grip, so wheel spin is minimized, acceleration is
immediate and the car is exceptionally reassuring in slippery conditions. Six-speed
manual close-ratio transmission (sport shifter gear lever, aluminium with leather-clad
gear knob). Also available with a six-speed Geartronic automatic allowing manual
shifting (leather-clad gear knob).
CHASSIS
Four-C (Continuously Controlled Chassis Concept) semi-active chassis. Front
suspension with spring struts. Multi-link independent rear suspension with
aluminium subframe. Dynamic Stability and Traction Control (DSTC) anti-skid
system that can be partially or fully disengaged.
