FORWARD ASSIST
With heavy external fouling of the UMP, (sand, sludge) or to load the
weapon quietly, the thumb recess on the bolt may be used as a forward
assist (Fig 25A). To do so use the thumb recess, push bolt forwards
until it is in the forward most position.
