ENGINE OIL FILTER (See Fig. 17)
Replace theengine oilfilter every season oreveryother oil
change if the tractor is used more than 100 hoursinone
year°
Drain oil from engine crankcase (See "TO -CHANGE
ENGINE OIL" in this section of this manual, through
step remove drain plug)_
o Remove oil filter and wipe off filter adapter,,
o Apply a thin coating of new engine oil to the rubber
gasket on replacement oil filter,
° install replacement oil _ter on filter adapter_ Turn oil
filter clockwise until rubber gasket contacts the filter
adapter, then tighten filter' an additional t/2 turn_
F_'_crankcase with new oil (See "TO CHANGE EN-
G;NE 3tL" in this section of Lhismanual). For approxi-
mate capacity see "PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS" on
page 3 of this manual
. Start the engine and check for oil leaks. Correct any
leaks before placing engine into full operation_

IN-LINE FUEL FILTER (See Fig, 18)
The fuel filter should be replaced once each season. If fue!
filter becomes clogged, obstructing fuel flow to carburetor,
replacement is required.
With engine cool, remove filter and plug fuel line
section&
° Place new fuel filter in position in fuel line with arrow
pointing towards carburetor,
Be sure there are no fuel line leaks arid clamps are
properly positioned,,
Immediately wipe up any spilled gasoline.

CLEANING
° Clean engine, battery, seat, finish, etc of all foreign
matter,
Keep finished surfaces and wheels free of al! gasoline,
oil, etc,
o Protect painted surfaces with automotive type wax
We do not recommend using a garden hose to clean your
tractor unless the electrical system, muffler, air filter' and
carburetor are covered to keep water out Water in engine
can result in a shortened engine life,
