Cooling System
Bleeding t h e Cooling System
WARNING
The engine exhaust from this product contains chemicals known
to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Operate this vehicle only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas.
1. Read the entire coolant bleed procedure before beginning. After
beginning the bleed procedure, do not stop the engine until
reaching step 14.
2. Move the snowmobile into a well-ventilated area. Allow the engine
to cool completely.
WARNING
Steam and hot liquids will cause serious burns to your skin.
Never bleed the cooling system or remove the pressure cap when
the engine is warm or hot.
3. Open the hood.
4. Remove the coolant pressure cap (A)
carefully.
5. Slowly pour coolant into the filler
neck (B) until the coolant level
reaches the bleed return hole (C)
on the inside of the filler neck.
Leave the pressure cap off.
6. With the cap off, start the engine
andallowittoidle.
7. With the engine idling, observe the
coolant level in the filler neck. Make
sure that the coolant level in the filler
neck is always visible. When the
level falls, add coolant. A rising
level is acceptable.
NOTE: During bleeding, air pockets will bubble to the surface. Add
coolant after these a ir pockets have surfaced, making sure
that the coolant level remains visible in the filler neck.
