Locking and unlocking
Global locking
̈ Press the lock button on an outside
door handle.
With the trunk and both doors closed:
ț All turn signal lamps flash three
times.
ț An acoustic signal sounds three
times.
ț The locking knobs in the doors
move down.
ț The anti-theft alarm system is
armed.
Restoring to factory setting
̈ Press and hold buttons Œ and ‹
simultaneously for about 5 seconds un-
til Battery check lamp 5 (

flashes twice.
Global locking using the KEYLESS-GO
lock button on the trunk lid
Depending on vehicle production date your
vehicle may be equipped with the
KEYLESS-GO lock button on trunk lid.
1 Lock button
̈ Press lock button 1 on the trunk lid.
With the trunk and all doors closed, all
turn signal lamps flash three times. The
locking knobs in the doors move down.
The anti-theft alarm system is armed.

You can also lock the vehicle using the
KEYLESS-GO lock button on the trunk lid
(
୴ page 106) or, vehicles with trunk open-
ing/closing system*, KEYLESS-GO lock-
ing/closing switch (
୴ page 114).

To prevent a possible inadvertent lockout,
the trunk will open automatically if a SmartKey
with KEYLESS-GO* is recognized inside the vehi-
cle or in the trunk.

You can also lock the vehicle using the lock
button on an outside door handle (

KEYLESS-GO locking/closing switch
