Chapter 3: Vehicle Installation
Take care when mounting the Magellan RoadMate in your vehicle, whether using the windshield mount or other mount, that
it does not obstruct the driver’s view of the road. Make sure that the placement of the Magellan RoadMate and cable does
not interfere with the operation of vehicle safety devices, such as air bags. You assume the risks associated with damage to
your vehicle or vehicle’s occupants as a result of how you choose to mount the Magellan RoadMate.
3.1 Installing the Windshield Mount
Position the antenna. If an external antenna will be used, leave the antenna folded down
against the Magellan RoadMate body. If an external antenna is not used, position the antenna
so that it extends out 90° out from the body.)
Attach the enhanced cradle to the back of the unit. Insert the bottom of the unit first then
snap the enhanced cradle clip at the top into place.
Slide the windshield mount onto the back of the enhanced cradle.
Plug the power out cable from the TrafficKit Module into the enhanced cradle
