Checking spoke tension
Warning
Danger of accidentsಘUnstable riding behavior due to loose spokes.
ದ If you ride with loose spokes, the spokes can break. Have the spoke tension corrected in an authorized KTM workshop.

A loose spoke can cause wheel imbalance, which leads to more loose spokes in a short time.
If the spokes are too tight, they can break due to local overload.
Check the spoke tension regularly, especially on a new motorcycle.

ದ To check spoke tension, tap each spoke with a screwdriver.
Specification
You should hear a high note.
Spoke nipple, front wheel M4,5 5bNm (3.7blbfbft)

If you hear different tone frequencies from different spokes, this is an indi-
cation of different spoke tensions.
Removing the batterybx
Warning
Risk of injuryಘBattery acid and battery gases cause serious cauterization.
ದ Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
ದ Wear suitable protective clothing and goggles.
ದ Avoid contact with battery acid and battery gases.
ದ Keep the battery away from sparks or open fire. Charge only in well ventilated rooms.
ದ In the event of skin contact, rinse with large amounts of water. If battery acid gets in the eyes, rinse with water for at least
15 minutes and contact a doctor.
ದ Switch off all power-consuming components and switch off the engine.

ದ Disconnect the negative (minus) cableb of the battery.
ದ Pull back the plus pole coverb
and disconnect the positive (plus) cable of the bat-
tery.
ದ Hang the rubber bandb
out to the bottom.
ದ Lift the battery up.
Installing the batterybx

ದ Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.
ದ Place the battery in the battery holder.
