If the Transmitter Battery Is Weak:
1. Place the transmitter in the glove box
transmitter pocket with the buttons
facing toward the passenger side of
the vehicle.
2. Press the brake pedal with the vehi-
cle in Park (with an automatic trans-
mission), or press the clutch pedal
(with a manual transmission).
3. Press the Start button. The vehicle
will start.
The transmitter battery should be
replaced as soon as possible. The
Driver Information Center may display a
Fob Battery Low message.

Loss of Power
Loss of Vehicle Electrical Power
If your vehicle has lost battery power,
you can open the driver’s door manually.
If Outside the Vehicle:
1. Insert your master key into the lock
cylinder located above the rear
license plate and turn to open the
trunk.
2. Manually lift the trunk lid.
3. Pull the door release handle located
on the driver’s side of the trunk.
The driver’s door can now be opened.
If Inside the Vehicle:
• Pull the door release handle located
on the floor next to the seat.
Loss of Keyless
Access Transmitter
Battery Power
Under normal use,
the battery in your
transmitter should
last about three
years. If the transmit-
ter battery becomes
weak, it may cause
the Driver
Information Center to display a No Fobs
Detected message when you try to start
the vehicle.
