Assembly
• Position the steering linkage as shown.
• Insert the long leg of a front axle through the side of a
pivot with the groove. Make sure the short axle leg fits
into the groove.
Helpful Hint: You may need to tap the axle with a
hammer to fit the short leg into the groove.

• Tap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the end
of the axle. Pull up on the wheel to make sure the cap
nut is secure on the end of the axle.
• Repeat this procedure at the other end of the steering
linkage to assemble the other front wheel.

• Position the vehicle body upside down on a flat surface.
• With the steering linkage positioned toward the front of
the vehicle body (see inset), fit the front axle legs into
the holes in the vehicle body.
Helpful Hint: You may need to tap the pivots with a
hammer to fit the front axle legs into the holes.

• Fit a washer onto the end of the short axle leg.
• Fit a bushing, ring side first, onto the end of the short
axle leg.
• Fit a front wheel, hubcap side up, onto the end of the
short axle leg.
• Fit a wheel bushing, barrel side first, onto the end of the
short axle leg. Press the bushing into the wheel.
• Fit a cap nut onto the end of the short axle leg.

and the washers are in place next to the front wheels.
