Assembly
Position the steering linkage as shown.
Insert the long leg of a front axle through the side of a
pivot with the groove. Make sure the short axle leg fits
into the groove.
Helpful Hint: You may need to tap the axle with a
hammer to fit the short leg into the groove.

Tap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the end
of the axle. Pull up on the wheel to make sure the cap
nut is secure on the end of the axle.
Repeat this procedure at the other end of the steering
linkage to assemble the other front wheel.

Position the vehicle body upside down on a flat surface.
With the steering linkage positioned toward the front of
the vehicle body (see inset), fit the front axle legs into
the holes in the vehicle body.
Helpful Hint: You may need to tap the pivots with a
hammer to fit the front axle legs into the holes.

Fit a washer onto the end of the short axle leg.
Fit a bushing, ring side first, onto the end of the short
axle leg.
Fit a front wheel, hubcap side up, onto the end of the
short axle leg.
Fit a wheel bushing, barrel side first, onto the end of the
short axle leg. Press the bushing into the wheel.
Fit a cap nut onto the end of the short axle leg.

Make sure the front axle legs are in the pivot grooves
and the washers are in place next to the front wheels.
