Position the battery retainer over the battery with the ends
of the battery retainer aligned with the screw holes in the
vehicle body.
Insert two #10 x

screws through the ends of the bat-
tery retainer and into the vehicle body.
Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not
over-tighten.
• Place the battery (and protective foam pocket) upright in
the battery compartment. Do not remove the battery
from the protective foam pocket. Make sure the bat-
tery connector extends toward the rear of the vehicle.
• Make sure a 25 amp fuse is installed in the battery.

• If you have already assembled the seat to the vehicle,
use a slotted screwdriver to rotate the lock fastener

turn to unlock the seat .
•To remove the seat, push firmly on one of the back
fenders while pulling up on the same side of the back
of the seat to release the tab on the seat from the slot
in the vehicle body.
• Repeat this procedure on the other side of the
vehicle body.
• Lift to remove the seat from the vehicle body.

Connector
Plug the battery connector into the motor harness
connector.
Note: If the battery connector will not plug into the motor
harness connector, turn it over and try again! Do not force
the battery connector into the motor harness connector.
Re-assemble the seat to the vehicle body. (See assembly
step 19 on page 13. Always remember to secure the lock
fastener to prevent children from accessing the battery.
