MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
WARNING!
Your vehicle has both a high voltage DC and AC
system as well as a 12-Volt system. DC and AC high
voltage are both extremely dangerous and can cause
severe burns, electric shock, serious injury or even
death. In order to avoid personal injuries:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HIGH VOLTAGE
CABLES (ORANGE COLORED) AND/OR THE
CONNECTORS.
Follow all Caution and Warning labels attached to
the high voltage (Hybrid System) components.
Do not remove or replace any of the Hybrid
System components. All replacement or repairs of
Hybrid System components should be performed
by a factory-trained technician at an authorized
dealer.
The pages that follow contain the required maintenance
services determined by the engineers who designed your
vehicle.
Besides the maintenance items for which there are fixed
maintenance intervals, there are other items that should
operate satisfactorily without periodic maintenance.
However, if a malfunction of these items does occur, it
could adversely affect the engine or vehicle performance.
These items should be inspected if a malfunction is
observed or suspected.
Traction Power Inverter Module Cooling System
The Traction Power Inverter Module (TPIM) cooling
system is completely separate from the engine cooling
system and is designed to remove heat away from the
TPIM.
