Testing the Fan Belt Tension
Check the amount the fan belt deflects when pushed
with a force of 6 kg [13.2 lb] at a point midway
between the fan pulley and the alternator pulley.

Adjusting the Fan Belt Tension
Loosen the mounting capscrew of the alternator (1)
and belt tension adjustment capscrew (2).
Using a bar, raise the alternator, and adjust the fan
belt tension.
Tighten the adjustment capscrew and the mounting
capscrew.
