CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Self-cleaning
• Thisfunctionremovesscaleandmineralbuild-upinthesteamchamber.
• Filltheirontohalfitscapacitywithwater( Filling the iron with water).
• Connectthepowerplug(13) to a suitable wall outlet.
• Turnthefunctioncontrol(4) to the dry ironing position (ill.
g
).
• Setthetemperaturecontrol(5) to the highest temperature linen-cotton .
• Placetheirononitsheel(10) and let it heat up completely.
• Setthetemperaturecontrol(5) to o and disconnect the iron from the wall outlet.
• Slidethefunctioncontrol(4) to the steam ironing position (ill.
f
).
• Hold the iron over a sink with one hand, and press and hold the self clean
button (14) continuously with the other hand. CAUTION! Boiling water with steam
and impurities is ejected from the soleplate nozzles (15).
• Gentlymovetheironbackandforth.
• Release theself clean button (14) when the water reservoir (12) is completely
empty.
Cleaning the iron
• Donotuseharshabrasives,chemicalcleanersorsolventstocleanthecasingof
your iron, as these will damage its surface.
• Tocleantheoccasionalbuild-upofscaleonthesoleplate(15) and the casing, just
wipe with a soft damp cloth.
• Alwaysstoretheironinanuprightpositiononitsheel(10) (ill.

).
Storage
• Togetthelongestworkinglifefromyouriron,itisbeststoredinadryplace.
• Turn the iron o and disconnect from the wall outlet, and empty the water
reservoir (12) ( Turningtheironoandemptyingthewaterreservoir).
• Waitfortheirontocoolandusetheprovidedtie(13) to manage the power cord (13)
before storing.
• Storetheirononastableshelforinacupboard.Toavoidaccidents,ensurethat
both the iron and its power cord (13) are beyond reach of children or pets.
