Chapter 2: Overview
• DB25 to RJ-45 Modular Adapter (part number FA770 [male DB9] or
FA771 [female DB9]): This unpinnned modular adapter enables you to convert
the RJ-45 RS-232 pinout from the IC162A to a DB25 male RS-232 serial port.
Standard CAT5 patch cables can be used to extend the serial port up to 50 feet
away from the IC162A.
2.5 Hardware Description
Figures 2-1 and 2-2 show the front and back panels of the USB to Multi RS-232/
485 Interface Converter. Table 2-1 describes their components.
