1. Remove the V-belt air fi lter case
cover by removing the screws.

by removing the screw.

3. Pull the air fi lter element out, and
then clean it with solvent. After
cleaning, remove the remain-
ing solvent by squeezing the
element. WARNING! Use only a
dedicated parts cleaning sol-
vent. To avoid the risk of fi re or
explosion, do not use gasoline
or solvents with a low fl ash
point.[EWA10431]
NOTICE:
To avoid damaging
the air fi lter element, handle
it gently and carefully, and do
not twist it.[ECA10521]
4. Apply oil of the recommended
type to the entire surface of
the sponge material, and then
squeeze the excess oil out.
TIP
The air fi lter element should be wet
but not dripping.
Recommended oil:
Yamaha foam air fi lter oil or other
quality foam air fi lter oil
5. Insert the element into the air fi l-
ter case.
6. Install the fi lter element holder by
installing the screw.
7. Install the V-belt air fi lter case
cover by installing the screws.
