MAINTENANCE
Lubrication
Front Suspension
Two components of the IQ front suspension and steering require
lubrication.
S Grease the left and right spindles. R aise the front end of the ma-
chine to permit better grease entry into the spindle area.
S Lubricate the steering post U-joint.
Throttle Cable
Lubricate the throttle cable (1) lightly
with grease or oil. With the engine off,
turn the handlebars to the left and
lubricate liberally as shown.
Choke and Cable
Lubricate the choke slide (2) and cables
lightly with oil or grease. Before
turning the engine off, operate the choke
intermittently to draw moisture out of
the choke plunger area and reduce the
possibility of the choke becoming
frozen.
