Storing the Vehicle
7. Verify that tire pressure is at specification.
8. Block the wheels to prevent rolling.
WARNING! Do not cover the vehicle while the charger is connected. Dangerous levels of hydrogen
gas could accumulate.
9. If the vehicle is not connected to the charger, turn off the main disconnect switch. Cover
the vehicle with a genuine GEM vehicle cover. Do not use plastic or coated materials.
They do not allow enough ventilation to prevent condensation, and may promote corro-
sion and oxidation.
Removal from Storage
1. Inspect all battery connections. Verify that batteries are fully charged.
2. Verify that tire pressure is at specification.
3. Perform the pre-ride inspection. See page 86.
4. Inspect and verify the tightness of the bolts, nuts and other fasteners.
