Vertical headlamp aim:
Depress latch (1) and remove
cover (2).
Turn adjusting screw (3) (counter-
clockwise to adjust headlamp
downward, clockwise upward) until
the bubble in level (4) is in center of
the marking (bold line).
Graduations: Vertical 0.18° pitch.
Reinstall bottom end of cover (2) and
push against top end of cover until
properly seated.
Horizontal headlamp aim:
Turn adjustment screw (5) until
pins in sight glasses (6) and (8)
show the same value.
Right front headlamp: Turn
adjustment screw (5) coun-
terclockwise to adjust headlamp to
the left, clockwise to the right.
Left front headlamp: Turn adjustment
screw (5) counterclockwise to adjust
headlamp to the right, clockwise to
the left.
Graduations: Horizontal 0.38° pitch,
Reinstall cover above headlamp.
Notes:
Horizontal headlamp aim normally
never changes and needs readjustment
only after repair to the body or a
headlamp unit. Therefore, do not turn
the horizontal adjustment screw (5), if
pins in sight glasses (6) and (8) show
the same value.
The headlighting system is properly
aimed if the appropriate vertical plane
is perpendicular to both the
longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and a
horizontal plane when the vehicle is on
a horizontal surface, and the vehicle
headlamp adjustment device is set at
"0" vertical and "0" horizontal.
