approximate flowof energy withinthe
hybrid system. The displaydoes not show
all ofthe componentsof the system.
The vehicle is being primarily driven by the engine.
• Thearrowpoints awayfrom theengine and thento thewheel.
The levelofhybrid batterycharge, circled inred,will beshown
bythe amount ofwhite withinthe battery image.
The vehicle is being driven by the hybrid battery.
• Thearrowpoints awayfrom thehybrid battery and
then tothe wheel.
The vehicle is being driven by both the engine and
the hybrid battery.
• Thearrowspoint awayfrom the hybridbattery andthe
engine andthen tothe wheel.
The vehicle is coasting or slowing down, regenerating
electricity and charging the hybrid battery.
• Thearrowpoints awayfrom thewheel and thento the
hybrid battery.
The vehicle is stopped and the hybrid battery is not
being charged.
• Noarrowsare displayed.
To show the Energy Monitor display,press the“DISP.”
button locatedon the steering wheel,until you reach the
EnergyMonitor display.It maybe necessary to pressthe
button more thanonce to reach thisdisplay.
