All-Wheel Drive
With all-wheel drive, you can send your engine’s
driving power to all four wheels for extra traction.
To get the most satisfaction out of all-wheel drive,
you must be familiar with its operation. Read the part
that follows before using all
-wheel drive.
NOTICE:
Driving in the 4HI Lock or 4LO Lock positions
for a long time on dry or wet pavement could
shorten the life of your vehicle’s drivetrain
and tires.
Transfer Case Buttons
The transfer case buttons
are located to the right of
the steering wheel on the
instrument panel. Use these
buttons to shift into and out
of the different all
-wheel
drive modes.
You can choose among three driving settings:
(4HI): This setting is for driving in most street
and highway situations. You can also use this setting for
variable off
-road conditions.
(4HI Lock): Use this when you need extra
traction in most off
-road situations.
