Be sure that any modified or
added wiring will work
properly with your vehicle's
wiring system.

See that all wiring is properly
protected by fuses, and not
causing an overload to
connectors and components.

Do not route wiring in areas
of the vehicle where
temperatures can be high or
where wiring may be cut,
pinched, or rubbed.

See that all added wiring is
of the same or larger gauge
than the wire it is being
attached to for proper fuse
protection.

Be sure that all holes drilled
in the body are properly
sealed and corrosion
protected. See that the
vehicle's wiring harnesses,
piping, and other
components have not been
displaced or damaged during
customer installations of
equipment and wiring.

Do not route wiring or
equipment which could
interfere with roofmounted
side impact airbags.
Notice: Overloading the vehicle's
electrical system may damage
your vehicle's accessories. Do
not overload the vehicle's system
by having unnecessary
accessories on at the same time.

Your Impala police vehicle is
equipped with auxiliary fin-type
air-to-oil coolers mounted in front of
the engine coolant radiator.
The auxiliary coolers are mounted
separately, with the power steering
cooler just below the engine oil
