DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER
(DIC)
The DIC informs you about the
status of many of your vehicle’s
systems and is used to display driver
personalization features and
warning/status messages. The
display is located at the bottom of
the instrument panel cluster. The
DIC controls are located on the
instrument panel to the right of
the steering wheel.
Pressing the top
or bottom of the
upper button
allows you to
scroll through the
available features
that will appear in
the DIC display.
These include the odometer, trip
information, tire pressure, oil life
and English/Metric selection.
Warnings and Messages
If a problem is sensed in one of your
vehicle’s systems, a warning or
message will appear in the DIC
display. Possible warnings or
messages include: ABS ACTIVE, LOW
BRAKE FLUID, and SERVICE FUEL
SYSTEM. (See your Owner Manual
for a complete list of possible
warnings and messages.)
After a warning or message
appears, press the RESET button to
clear the display screen for further
use. Remember, pressing RESET only
makes the message disappear; it
does not resolve the problem.
Personalization Features
Your XLR offers personalization
capabilities that allow you to
program certain features to a
preferred setting for up to two
drivers. Personalization features will
be recalled when the vehicle senses
the Keyless Access transmitter as
the door is opened or when the
appropriate memory button on the
driver seat is pressed.
Available personalization
features include:
Auto Recall — Seat, mirror and
steering wheel move to memory-set
driving position. (ON/OFF)
Auto Exit Recall — Seat and steering
wheel move to memory-exit
position. (ON/OFF)
Approach Lights — Activates
parking, front fog and backup lights
when the Unlock button on
transmitter is pressed. (ON/OFF)
Note:Your vehicle’s warnings and
messages provide critical information that
can prevent damage to your vehicle.
Review your Owner Manual to become
familiar with the information displayed
and the action required.
